What customers say?

“ Absolutely superb evening at this delightful little place. Small number of available covers means you need to book ahead. Truly incredible dining! Highly recommended! ”

“ We visited as a large group for lunch and had an excellent meal here! The service was excellent and they were incredibly accommodating if our large group. The food itself was expertly done and delicious. We also felt it was great value too! Highly recommend ”

- Henry Slater -

“ We had a really wonderful dinner here on Wednesday 5th June, including a fabulous performance from the singing waiter/proprietor, in a duet with one of our guests! The food was excellent throughout, the atmosphere charming and we felt very well looked after. It is also very good value for a place of such quality. This restaurant is definitely worth a detour and we will be back at the earliest opportunity! ”

- Felicity Lyons -

“ Lovely restaurant by the gates into Richlieu, came recommended and did not disappoint. Had at least two vegetarian options available on menu. I had the ricotta Ravioli and my friend had the octopus dish. Lovely flavours and well prepared, good wine menu too and great dessert! Decor was lovely, small and intimate inside, but lots of outside seating in a beautiful garden that also has resident cute kittens, well when we were there it was a kitten ”

- Alison Barnes -

“ The best place in Richelieu for a three or four course meal. Staff is attentative, food is excellent and the place has a cozy atmosphere! ”

- Lilian van H -

“ New chef and management since January 2024. Amazing food and great value for money. Local products and local wines. All dishes were of high quality, from the starter to the dessert. Refined whilst still offering generous portions. Highly recommended. ”

“ Under new management and will certainly not disappoint. The menu is fantastic with a variety of interesting and delicious options. Well presented. Wine list is also very good. I loved the atmosphere and the service was faultless, especially as we were a group of 12. I am not a cocktail person but I got the urge to try one of their own concoctions. It was the perfect start to a great experience! ”

- Rupert Jones -

“ I could not have wished for a better birthday dinner than the experience that my partner and I had at this marvellous restaurant. Possibly the finest meal I have ever had. I turned 67 that night! We will definitely return to Johann and Collis's place and with luck before my 68th birthday . . . N.B. You really have to book as it's becoming renowned. ”
